The top hat was completely burned by had with a small hot tool. I then added a fun pop of color with color pencil.
The bottom hat is the same view of Pittsburgh but the imaged was burned permanently on with a precise laser.
Both hat attachments are a thin piece of birch plywood. And each hat was sanded and hand shaped to for the brim and then glued.
